2 Days/ 1 Night Tsavo West National Park Safari from Nairobi is an exciting safari which takes you to visit Tsavo West National Park for wildlife game viewing. The safari starts and ends in Nairobi. You will travel with the driver/ guide in a private safari vehicle and spend the night in a lodge or camp.

Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks forms Tsavo National Park – one of the largest conservation areas in the world and covers a massive 4% of Kenya’s total land.  

Tsavo West National Park is the more famous of the two and is painted on a sprawling canvas of endless skies, hills, liquid lava flows, rivers, sparkling oases and a cloud shadowed African savannah.  

The magic Mzima Springs is fed by over 250 million liters of fresh water gushing from the lava flows of the Chyulu Hills. It provides a continuous supply of water to Mombasa town. The park is famous for the numerous prides of maneless lions that patrol the plains and predate on the herbivore herds.  

Tsavo East National Park offers some of the most magnificent fame game viewing in the world with vast herds of dust-red elephant, hippo, giant crocodiles and a wide variety of bird life.  

During your safari, you will have an opportunity to spot plenty of wildlife such as the giraffe, elephant, zebra and other plains game.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Nairobi – Drive to Tsavo West National Park

Our Safari departs at 0700 Hours after a pick-up from your Hotel/ residence and depart for safari to Tsavo West National Park with a game drive on route, arriving for a well prepared and tasty lunch menu.  

Check in to your camp and relax in the lounge area with spectacular views of wildlife at the waterhole just 100 meters away. Complete the day in Tsavo West National Park with game drive.

Day 2 : Tsavo West National Park – Drive to Nairobi

Tsavo West National Park is a all year round destination. After an early wake up call, a morning game drive follows. Major wildlife attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant and bird species including the threatened corncrake and near threatened Basra Reed Warbler.  

Wildife include Leopard, Cheetah, Wild dogs, Buffalo, Rhino, Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion,Crocodile, Mongoose, Hyrax, Dik- dik, Lesser Kudu, and Nocturnal Porcupine. Prolific bird life features 600 species.  

Other interesting attractions include Recent Volcanoes, lava flows and caves with potential for geological and cave exploration and hiking.  

Mzima Springs and underwater hippo and fish watching. Return back to your lodge/ camp for breakfast then depart by road back to Nairobi dropoff at your hotel/ residence around lunch hour. (240 Kilometers to Nairobi).
